12) Hello...Hum Lallan Bol Rahe Hain - Hello Hum Lallann Bol Rahe Hain is the story of a security guard.

The film revolves around Lallann Prasad Prajapati (Rajpal Yadav), who hails from North India. An educated and well-mannered man. The works in Bombay as a security guard. He is self-sufficient, confident, and honest and believes in the 'live and let live' philosophy. Being very attached to his friends. He involved in solving their problems. He worships his work.

Among Lallann's close friends and well-wishers are Ganesh (Makrand Anaspure), a Maharashtrian who drives an auto rickshaw for a living, a Gujarati lady (Ketaki Dave) who owns an STD booth, and his boss (Ravi Jhankal) whom he treats like an uncle. He is very fond of his childhood sweetheart, Saroja (Preeti Mehre), who lives in the village but is in constant touch with him on the phone. He dreams of a secured life for himself and Saroja together and he works hard to realize this dream. But his love is one-sided.

13) Pangaa Gang - Three boys, one girl, a squirrel with an amorous bear as her deewana pit their wits against a poacher-deforester-queen-b***h-evil-hag-all-rolled-into- one and her cronies.

The prize? Oxygen for all and Shantivan, a forest filled with a bunch of herbivores and one carnivore (the bear, at least I think he is supposed to be) and several trees, flora, fauna et al.

Shemaroo's latest offering, helmed and written by Pankaj Sharma, seems more videogamey than animation-flicksy.

14) The Waiting Room - It's an odd assortment of people who must bide their time -- 11 long hours -- before the sole train arrives on the rain-drenched railway platform of an isolated station in the backwaters of India. There's the young girl (Radhika Apte), enroute to Pune, who has a discman with dead batteries and a newspaper with horrorfic headlines to fill her hours. She's just read about the serial killer who rapes and hacks his victims, one of whom was found in the vicinity. There's the mysterious young man (Raja Choudhary) who almost matches the description of the killer. His odd behaviour seems to fuel the suspicions, even further. There's the squabbling couple who never let go of their belongings and there's the strange cop too, harassing the passengers with his untimely investigations. But more than all this, there's the imminent danger lurking through every dark cranny of the crummy waiting room. When will the killer strike next? That seems to be the million dollar question hanging heavily through the clouds and the cobwebs that make this the most inhospitable place on earth.

But hey, does the director manage to capitalise on the fear factor and build up a credible thriller that keeps you on tenterhooks? Partially. You do get edgy, here and there as Raja Choudhary does manage to build up the whodunnit with his inexplicable comings and goings. But soon enough, the claustrophobia of the closed interiors and the closed drama begins to set in and the film does begin to seem a bit stretched out. This Waiting Room needed a few more twists and turns to make the tension palpable.

15) Meri Life Mein Uski Wife - The film “Meri Life Mein Uski Wife” has been named like some low grade movie and even its production work is being done in a slow speed. The film started last year and the lead actors in the movie are unknown to most of the audience except the name of Shakti Kapoor. But the script of the film has a theme to offer, that “Friends in need are friends indeed” and in the hour of need people realize who their real friends are.

The story of the film is about a man Akash who is honest and caring and he helps his friends a lot. Many of his friends take advantage of him deliberately doing their jobs. Akash is married to Sheetal and one day Sheetal meets with an accident. Akash tries to find out friends who can help him in his need. Aakash has to pay huge money towards his wife’s operation to the hospitals and he is in need of money.

Most of his friend, whom Akash helped with money, turns him down and he gets to see the true colors of his so called close friends. Akash tries to come out of his personal crisis and tries to tackle his financial problems .Akash gets furious and frustrated and then he plans to teach his friends a lesson and he also plots to get back all his money from his friends.

16) Road to Sangam -
Road To Sangam tells the story of a God-fearing, devout Muslim mechanic named Hashmat Ullah [Paresh Rawal], who has been entrusted the job of repairing an old Ford engine, not knowing its historic significance.

He is caught in a complex situation after a powerful bomb explosion rocks his town, leading to the arrest of innocent Muslim youths of his locality. A strike to work is called by the prominent leaders [played by Om Puri and Pawan Malhotra] of his community to protest against the unjust treatment meted out to those arrested youths by the police.

Will he support the protest and abandon the repair of the engine or go against the wishes of his community? A simple, thought-provoking story, Road To Sangam has some brilliant moments and also some sequences that you carry home. But what could've been told in a concise format seems stretched after a point. Also, besides moving at a snail's pace, there's also sermonising at times, which wasn't really required.

17) striker - Striker is the story of Mumbai's ghetto life told to us by Surya (Siddharth) the youngest of three kids from a lower income family. It shows his childhood, the way he grew up surrounded by grime always, both literally and figuratively. When Surya misses school due to illness for as long as five months, they refuse to take him back in. So to beat the boredom he fiddles with the carom board. Elder brother Chandrakant (Anup Soni) helps him learn the game finely. Surya goes on to win the junior carom championship but that's the highest accomplishment he makes in this sport. He gives up the game to be a serious earning member of the family. However, things change for bad when Surya loses all his money to a bogus agent who'd promised to get him a Dubai job!

18) To The London Calling - By late 1976, early 1977, the punk movement had become worldwide, to some extent. In the United States, you had bands like The Ramones leading the front for the whole American punk scene, with bands like Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, and other bands following in their wake in the late 70s. In the United Kingdom, though, the movement was a lot larger than in the United States. Bands like the Sex Pistols, Buzzcocks, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and namely, The Clash, were leading the "punk movement" in the U.K., where the youth had largely seemed to have been angrier, which is in large part because of unemployment, alienation, homelessness, etc. The Clash were pigeonholed as the most political of the crop of U.K. bands, although they themselves thought they were "social," since they were mearly discussing what they saw from day to day. Some critics skewed them as just propaganda-pushing punks who talked the talk, but didn't walk the walk. In 1979, though, The Clash released on of the greatest albums of all time, a testament to politcal and social awareness in the world via music. This is London Calling (Though originally titled The New Testament).

19) Aakhari Decision - The movie revolves around a trained killer Arjun. Arjun is a deadly slaughterer and a lethal executioner. The man behind Arjun’s development is Victor, a crime mastermind and specialised contract killer.

Victor the so called father of Arjun, treated him like him as his own son, but kept Arjun away from the outer world. Thus Arjun never had friends but only enemies. But one fine day Manasi enters his life and Arjun’s life take a turn. Sandwiched between Victor and Manasi, Arjun finds difficult to choose between the mentor and the love. In mid of this, Arjun is sent to Unisted States for an assignment. Post return from U.S, Arjun decides to give up crime and spend life with Manasi.

20) Karthik Calling Karthik - stars Farhan Akhtar and Deepika Padukone in the lead. KCK is believed to be a psychological thriller. Farhan Akhtar’s character in the film is apparently shown to be solving Rubik’s cube throughout the film. Music for KCK is by Shankar-Loy-Ehsaan and the movie is directed by Vijay Lalwani. The film is slated to be released on 26th February 2010

21) Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge - Ajay Devgan starrer ‘Atithi Tum Kab Jaaoge?’ is based on noted satirist Sharad Joshi’s short story. The story is about an unwanted guest, Paresh Rawal, who enters the household of a married couple, played by Ajay and Konkona Sen Sharma, and lives for a long time by continuously extending his stay. So much so that the couple is exasperated and starts praying for his exit. The film is slated to be released in 26th February 2010

22) Rokkk - Horror films made in India follow standard rules and guidelines. Every possible ingredient that viewers have witnessed since the Ramsay era automatically finds its way into horror films even today. Rokkk too borrows everything available on the shelf.
Rokkk hinges on a half-baked script, but what saves the film from complete breakdown is the execution of the material by debutante director Rajesh Ranshinge. The proceedings may be far from innovative, but keep you hooked nonetheless.

Anushka [Tanushree Dutta] weds an elderly man Ravi [Sachin Khedekar], who has remarried after the death of his first wife. Anushka's mother [Nishigandha Wad] refuses to accept their relationship.

23) road - Is it a roller-coaster road movie? Is it a novel tale about touring cinema? Sadly, despite immense potential, it’s neither of the two. This one is mediocre middle-of-the-road movie. Dev Benegal’s Road, Movie is designed as one of those typical festival films that pretend to be a transformative journey of a character who en route discovers the true meaning of life, love and blah blah blah.

To escape his father’s hair oil business, Vishnu (Abhay Deol) grabs the opportunity of driving an antique truck across the desert to be stationed in a local museum. Do not expect any rollicking road adventure since the narrative never picks up pace like the tiresome truck. Through his deserted journey, Vishnu gives lift to a young boy (Mohammed Faizal Usmani), a migrating mechanic (Satish Kaushik) and a gypsy woman (Tannishtha Chatterjee). Soon he realizes that his tattered truck also houses a touring cinema. Do not expect any innovative story emerging from the functioning of the transportable theatre. The portable projector hardly plays for a couple of times in the film, of which one is a part of an extended dream sequence.

24) thanks maa - In a vital sequence from this film, the warden of the reformatory (Alok Nath) gives the street kid (Shams Patel) a bar of soap, tells him that he should have a bath pronto and should, therefore, undress in front of him. Before the street kid realises what his intentions are, the warden starts fondling with the kid's hands. The street kid snaps, he realises that something is wrong and flees from the reformatory the same night.

25) Hide n Seek - Starring Purab Kohli, Arjan Bajwa, Mrinali Sharma among others, Hide n Seek is a thriller from director Shawn Arranha. Produced by Apoorva Lakhia of Shootout in Lokhandwala fame, this film is slated to be released on 8th January 2010.

26) Na Ghar Ke Na Ghaat - A wide majority of Hindi movies look at urban issues. Right from the outfits to the lingo, there's no denying that Hindi movies also look at West for inspiration. In real life too, burgers, pizzas, sizzlers and colas have replaced sarson ka saag, dal-roti and sherbat-n-gola. But you do crave for desi food when you keep munching non-desi stuff all the while, don't you?

The fact is, desi stories, with real characters, can never go out of fashion. In fact, a number of present-day film-makers often tell me that they look upon, besides other reputed names, Hrishikesh Mukherjee as an inspiration. On one hand you had Amitabh Bachchan, the reigning superstar of 1970s and 1980s, doing a Sholay and an Amar Akbar Anthony and on the other hand, doing a Bemisaal and a Chupke Chupke for Hrishi-da.

27) Right Yaaa Wrong - Starring Ajay Devgun and Irfaan Khan in the lead, Right Yaa Wrong is a story about two cops pitted against each other. Co-produced by Mukta Arts and directed by Neeraj Pathak, this movie promises to be an explosive action movie. Right Yaa Wrong is slated to be released on 15th January 2010.

28) Swaha - Jayant Oberoi, Patel and Kapoor visit Swami Aasanand Maharaj’s ashram. Swamiji during that time tells Jayant that his son Raj (Ricky) should regularly visit a Shani mandir or else he would be in trouble. At that time Swamiji also removes a ring from Patel’s finger and gives it to Jayant.

Following which, Patel’s business goes downhill and eventually he dies of a heart attack but Jayant prospers. However, Raj spends all his time in pubs with his girlfriend Ally, refusing to go to the Shani Mandir. The Swami visits goes Jayant’s house and suspects that evil spirits have taken possession of the house. He brings along with him a senior priest and together they try to exorcise the house by tying mirchi-nimbu kind of stuff around certain objects in the house. How the house was possessed by spirits which are finally exorcised forms the rest of the drama.

29) TRUMP CARD - The plot of the film revolves around a huge transaction of property which leads to murders and sting operations and spy work. Young people get involved in order to make quick money and using girls, love and friendship. Trump Card is a suspense action thriller in which people are murdered for a specific cause. Everyone is disillusioned and clueless trying to find who is the killer and for what is he getting the murders done one after another?? Is the motive MONEY?

Rahul, Raj and Veer are three college friends who get 300 crores each from Rani Yashodhra Devi's 'Will' but there's a clause which states that if one friend is missing the amount will be divided into two but if 2 are missing then the entire amount of Rs.900 crores would go to the only survivor and if all the 3 are not found then all the amount would be transferred to Mr. Malhotra's N.G.O.

30) Idiot Box - Idiot Box movie is about Subhrojeet Chakraborty (Sushant Singh) who is given the assignment of enhancing the T.R.P of a T.V. serial consisting of 52 episodes by the Queen of Indian Television Ms. Anekta Kapoor (Jyoti Gauba). By watching the earlier episodes of the serial to incorporate a new track, he finds himself in a jam, since all the necessary tracks of saas- bahu saga, extramarital affairs, dead man coming back, twenty year leap etc. etc. have already been used several times by Anekta.

He is completely plank for new ideas, when he meets a bunch of people around him. T.V...

31) Lahore - After watching ‘Lahore’, the first person you want to applaud is director Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan. The way he has handled the movie, even though he had the predictability factor working to his disadvantage, is commendable. In fact, you can see his sincerity, conviction and sincerity in every frame. ‘Lahore’ is not a film about just kickboxing or Indo-Pak relations alone. In fact, it packs a lot of issues and does justice to each one of them. It is a film about relations - between two brothers and between two nations, about sports in general - on as well as beyond the field, and about kickboxing in particular - as a sport.

32) Love Sex Aur Dhokha - Love, Sex aur Dhokha is, as far as I know, the country’s first film to feature the word sex in its title. But that’s not the only thing that makes director Dibakar Banerjee’s third feature so provocative.

The film, with three inter-connected stories on love, sex and betrayal, is a grim, deeply unsettling and yet compelling portrait of urban India.

Love Sex aur Dhokha is ostensibly constructed from found footage, which was shot with security cameras and spy cameras. This isn’t an original idea – Hollywood horror films like The Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity and science-fiction dramas like Cloverfield and the Oscar-nominated District 9 work with the same device. But Banerjee uses it to tell three stories that could only originate in the Hindi hinterland, a complex and chaotic small town twilight zone defined by lust for money and fame, modern technology, feudal beliefs and extreme hypocrisy.

33) Shaapit - Post R aaz and 1920, you expect an enthralling horror film, with chills aplenty, from Vikram Bhatt. You presume his third horror film Shaapit would be even more scarier than his earlier works, mainly because Bhatt is now a seasoned player, as far as this genre is concerned.

Shaapit also makes a startling promise in its adverts - 'Warning: Extremely frightening'. Now that's quite a tall claim, isn't it?

Scary movies made in Bollywood, generally, have two stories rolled into one film: The past, when the wrong was committed and the present, when the past comes to haunt the young couple. Coincidentally, both Raaz and 1920 followed this concept and so does Shaapit. Only this time, the story dates back to 300 + years and then comes back to the present day.

34) Hum Tum Aur Ghost – Starring Arshad Warsi,Dia Mirza and Boman Irani, Hum Tum aur Ghost is a romantic comedy directed by Kabeer Kaushik. Produced by husband-wife duo of Arshad Warsi and
Maria Goretti, this film is slated to be released on 26th March 2010.

35) Mittal Vs Mittal - Starring Ritupurna Sengupta and Rohit Roy in the lead, this film traces a case on file that fights for the rights of women who are subjugated to domestic violence and inhuman treatment at the hands of husbands and in-law. This movie is slated to be released on 19th march 2010

36) My Friend Ganesha 3 - in the third of the series of Ganesha movies, we have Ganya (Rahul Pendkalkar), an orphan left at the mercy of his uncle Naagesh (Sayaji Shinde) and aunt Chandramukhi (Himani Shivpuri). They aren't kind to him and in fact the only reason they are even keeping him with them is because he is the heir to lots of financial goodies. So when he runs away they are pretty uptight about their 'wealth' slipping away.

Ganya runs away and hides inside the jolly Shamsher's lorry. Shamsher, afraid of the liabilities that a kid brings along drops Ganya off at a Ganesh temple where as luck would have Gangu Tai wife of Shamsher and a bubbly female who longs to have a child takes him home.

37) Prem Kaa Game - Sad. Salman Khan tries so hard to add some humour to this humourless film. But nothing seems to work. Neither the apology of a plot that tries to preserve the sanctity of marriage amidst extra-marital flings. Nor the plethora of comic actors, headed by Johnny Lever, who ironically make you cringe with their loud, crude, no-laughing-matter acts.

Try figuring out what the filmmaker means when he likens marriage to a public toilet and wives to an internet virus. Maybe Tara Sharma and newcomer Madhuri Bhattarcharya might be able to shed some light on the similes, as they try and keep pace with Arbaaz Khan's wooden antics.

Confused, Unimaginative. Avoidable.

38) Well Done Abba - Well Done Abba is a 2010 political satire Hindi film directed by Shyam Benegal, starring Boman Irani, Minissha Lamba and Sammir Dattani in pivotal roles. The film tells the story of Armaan Ali, a driver working in Mumbai, who takes a one month leave from his employer to find a groom for his daughter, who lives at his native village near Hyderabad but returns back after three months. Armaan’s employer decides to sack him, but is persuaded to listen to the reason why Armaan was late, this film is slated to be released on 26th March 2010.

39) Sadiyaan - Introducing Luv Sinha (son of Shotgun Sinha) and Ferana Wazier, Sadiyaan is a period drama directed by Raj Kanwar, Sadiyaan also stars Rekha,Shabana Azmi,Hema Malini and Rishi Kapoor. This film is slated to be released on 2nd April 2010.

40) Pankh - Pankh is an upcoming 2009 Bollywood film written and directed by Sudipto Chattopadhyaya and starring Bipasha Basu, Lilette Dubey, Mahesh Manjrekar, Ronit Roy, Sanjeeda Sheikh and newcomers Maradona Rebello and Amit Purohit. The film is reportedly based on the case of child actor Ahsaas Channa, who’s apparently a girl passed off as a boy in movies like Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and Vaastu Shastra. This film is slated to be released on 2nd April 2010.

41) The Great Indian Butterfly - Starring Aamir Bashir and Sandhya Mridul in the lead, this movie is about a a young Indian couple climbing the ladder of the corporate rate race in a nation hurtling forward at a rate unprecedented in its long history. Stressed, frustrated and unable to come to terms with the sacrifice required for success, they go in search of a legendary magical insect – The Great Indian Butterfly. This film is slated to be released on 2nd April 2010

It is directed by Milind Ukey, the assistant director is Abhishek Dogra. It has been released by Adlabs, and produced by Ahmed Khan. The film revolves around kids set in a school campus. The movie is slated to release on April 16, 2010.

46) Phoonk 2 – follows the first successful installement of Phoonk;Ram Gopal Varma’s horror ordeal stars Sudeep, Amruta Khanvilkar, Ahsaas Channa, Ashwini Kalsekar & others. This movie is scheduled to release on April 9th,2010.

47) Apartment - Suddenly, schizophrenia and memory loss seem to be the new flavours of the season. First Ghajini [memory loss], then Karthik Calling Karthik [schizophrenia], then Prince [memory loss], now Apartment talks of a schizophrenic who spells havoc in another woman's life.

Jag Mundhra comes up with a fairly taut thriller, which is absorbing in parts. Inspired by the Hollywood film Single White Female [Bridget Fonda, Jennifer Jason Leigh], the film has been adapted decently well to suit Indian sensibilities, but there's a hiccup. Neetu Chandra uses every predictable trick in the book to make Tanushree's life miserable. From poisoning Anupam Kher's cat to eyeing Tanushree's man, the stunts that she pulls off don't send a chill down your spine, which is very, very vital for a film that banks on terrifying moments to keep its audience hooked.

48) Bird Idol - In the U.S., the animation industry has come up with some amazing films. In India, the animation industry is still exploring and grappling to gain a foothold.

Bird Idol, directed by Jyotin Goel, is aimed at the kids primarily, but the story featuring birds, is very Bollywoodish. Bird idol has it all too - lovers eloping, their kid winning a music-based show, his love story, the crooked villain and of course, loads of songs.

I strongly feel that you should view animation films exactly the way a kid approaches it. Just keep your thinking caps aside and chances are, you might fall for its charm. Bird idol has some endearing moments, but despite a running time of approx. 100 minutes, it looks like a lengthy exercise. That's because the film abounds in songs and some unwanted scenes and since they [the songs] aren't promoted at all, it reverses the impact created by a few interesting sequences.

49) City of Gold - City of Gold (Lalbaug Parel in Marathi ) isn't an English film. Neither is it a Hindi film for multiplex audiences.

The title maybe a bit confusing but then so is the premise of the film. The makers claim the film is about the textile strike in Mumbai [ Images ] and the consequent changes in the socio-political scenario.

But the essence of the film is not political. The protagonists in the film are not the union leaders or the mill workers or the capitalist mill-owners. The central characters in City of Gold are simply occupants of Laxmi Sadan, a chawl which houses families where the principal wage earner is employed in a mill.

One such family is the Dhuri family headed by the patriarch Shashank Shende (Anna), his staunch loyalist wife Seema Biswas [ Images ] and their four kids. There's Baba, the oldest son whose only aim is to be a writer, Mohan who is educated and holds a steady job, Naru the small-time goon and Manju their daughter.

The siblings are poles apart in almost every way imaginable. But they have one thing in common. All of them have dreams and aspirations. Their paths may not be clear but their goal is. They desperately want to escape from the dinginess, squalor and drudgery of their humdrum existence.

50) HouseFull – ‘Housefull’ is a romantic comedy entertainer which is(narrates) the story of Aarush – the world’s unluckiest man.Directed by Sajjid Khan, Housefull movie stars Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Riteish Deshmukh, Lara Dutta, Jiah Khan, Arjun Rampal, Randhir Kapoor, Chunkey Pandey, Boman Irani, Lilette Dubey, Malaika Arora.
